Holi fair Madi will be organized from 17th to 28th March - Deputy Commissioner

Una, March 1 - North India's major religious event Holi Fair Madi is being organized from 17 to 28 March this year. During this, the ritual of Nishan Sahib (flag hoisting) will be performed on 25th March. Whereas Panja Prasad will be distributed on the midnight of 27th March. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal during the meeting held in Maidi in this regard.

He said that for the successful organization of the fair, Additional Deputy Commissioner Una has been appointed as Fair Officer and SDM Amb has been appointed as Assistant Fair Officer. Apart from this, Additional Superintendent of Police Una has been appointed Fair Police Officer and DSP Amb has been appointed Assistant Fair Police Officer.
The Deputy Commissioner said that for the smooth operation of various arrangements in the fair area, the fair area has been divided into ten sectors so that smooth operation of various types of arrangements including traffic, parking and cleanliness can be ensured. He informed that medical camps will be organized at various places in different areas of the fair site by the Health and Family Welfare Department and AYUSH Department. He said that coming to the fair in open trucks and other commercial vehicles is prohibited, hence all the passengers should use only passenger vehicles to come to the fair. The Deputy Commissioner said that additional buses will also be run as per the facilities and needs of the passengers. He said that there will be a ban on installing loudspeakers in the fair area from 10 pm to 6 am. The Deputy Commissioner urged the managers and representatives of various religious places located in Madi and the public representatives of the border Gram Panchayats to make every possible contribution in the successful organization of the fair.
After the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner visited various places in the fair area and inspected various places and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departmental officers regarding traffic, parking, drinking water and electricity distribution.
On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia, SDM Amb Vivek Mahajan, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Verma, District Ayurvedic Officer Dr. Jyoti Kanwar, Block Development Officer Amb Ompal Dogra, Regional Manager of HRTC Suresh Dhiman including operators of various religious places and border villages. Public representatives of Panchayats were also present.
