In this regard, the auto drivers have started the preparations for the district level meeting by holding a meeting of the Nawanshahr (urban) unit here today. Sharing the proceedings of the meeting with the press, the district president of the union, Puneet Kumar Bachuri, said that for the past one year, they have been demanding from the district administration to provide space for the bus stand and auto stand of Nawanshahr. For this, they have met the District Administration, General Manager of Punjab Roadways and made written requests several times, but they have not received anything other than praise. While in the place of the bus stand, taxi stands, motorcycle stands are running on rent. They are also ready to pay auto stand rent. He said that the union has prepared for the struggle due to the grievances of the administration. On this occasion, IFTU Punjab Deputy Secretary Avtar Singh Tari and Kirti Kisan Union District Secretary Tarsem Singh Bains assured full support to the struggle of auto workers.
