Balongi, December 23 - The Aam Aadmi Party government has captured the power of Punjab, where it is claimed that the occupation of Panchayat lands is being released through continuous action by the government and even the big moneylenders are being released from and on the other hand In Ambedkar Colony of Balongi, around 10 acres of valuable land of the panchayat has been illegally occupied by people by building houses and the business of renting out rooms in this place is in full swing with which the illegal occupants make their income. has been taken
On the one hand, the registration of illegal constructions has been completely banned in Punjab, due to which those taking plots or land in unauthorized colonies cannot get registered and people have started buying and selling on the basis of power of attorney. Meanwhile, if any person constructs on the land purchased in such a place, then the construction is declared illegal by GAMADA and the work is stopped and if the construction is still carried out, then the construction is demolished with JCB. . On the other hand, in the Ambedkar Colony of Balongi, continuous constructions are being carried out by forcefully occupying the government (panchayat) land, which there is no stopping and rooms are being built and rented here on a large scale. The lower level leaders and workers of the political party are also involved in this work.
These people do not need to buy land to build here, nor do they need to get a registry and start earning by occupying any place. According to the information received from the spot, there are many persons who have made 10 to 40 rooms and offered them on rent. However, there are more rooms than that. Most of the people occupying panchayat land and constructing rooms themselves live outside the colony and these rooms are being used as a means of earning.
It is worth mentioning here that this work of illegal occupation has been going on for the last 10 years. Before 2014, there were only 120 encroachments in this place and at that time Sarpanch Bahadur Singh of the village also obtained an occupation warrant from the court of DDPO to eliminate these encroachments, but the administration did not take necessary action to eliminate these encroachments. not done If the governments were to remove these encroachments, facilities like sewerage, water, electricity connection, 40 feet wide paved road were given in Ulta Colony, which resulted in the number of illegal encroachments in this colony which had 120 encroachments 10 years ago, was 4 to 5 thousand. It has been done and their votes have also been cast. If we talk about the elections, the candidate who gets more votes from Ambedkar Colony in the panchayat elections is certain to win.
Submersible pump bores have also been constructed and RG latrines have also been constructed here by the moneylenders who are renting out rooms by constructing rooms in the colony. The residents of this colony are throwing the waste of the colony in the Rao river of Patiala, due to which the environment is being heavily damaged.
In this regard, village sarpanch Bahader Singh said that the administration should remove these encroachments. They said that whenever construction comes to their knowledge, they stop the work but illegal occupiers continue to build. He said that he had obtained a warrant from the DDPO court in 2014, but until the administration wants what can they do. He said that when facilities will be provided in place of people's possession, then how can these possessions on Panchayat land be ended. They demanded from the government and the administration that these occupations at this place should be ended and cases should be registered against those who rent out rooms on government land.
