Patiala, November 10 - On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, an exhibition was organized in the District Administrative Complex today under the banner of Swachh Diwali and Shubh Diwali under Swachh Bharat Mission-2. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni, D.A.C. While distributing cloth bags and saplings to the people who came to the campus, he congratulated them on Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas and invited them to celebrate Green Diwali.
In the exhibition, utensils made from unused cloth, compost made from wet household waste and bags made from cloth to completely stop the use of plastic were displayed under Waste to Wealth by Municipal Council Samana. In which bags made of cloth were distributed to the people coming to the district administrative complex.
On this occasion, Punjab Pollution Prevention Board also distributed masks and cloth bags to the general public to stop the use of single-use plastic. Agriculture Department, Patiala also participated and displayed honey products. Apart from this, with the aim of making the environment clean, an exhibition of plants was also organized by the Forest Division, Patiala and the plants were given to the general public for planting.
Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Patiala Sakshi Sahni and supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, the exhibition was successfully conducted by Municipal Council Samana Staff Officer Baljinder Singh, Inspector Harvinder Kumar, Ramanpreet Singh.
