Nawanshahr - 30 students of Mechanical, Civil, Computer and Electrical departments of KC Polytechnic College went on industrial tour to Bhaddi and Mohali under the supervision of Acting Principal Eng Jaftar Ahmed. Engineer Som Raj Sharma, Engineer Santosh Kumar, Engineer Davinder Singh and driver Jagdish Kumar also went to Sukha with him. The tour was inaugurated by Eng Jaftar Ahmed and Eng Alka Bhardwaj.
Engineer Som Raj Sharma said that the students first went to Balachaur to see the water related project going on under the Bhaddi Lift Irrigation Scheme, and then went to Think Next Technology Mohali. Baddi site engineer Sukhwinder Singh said that water is brought from the lower level to the upper level through pumps and other equipment. For this, help of various transformers, solar panels, motors, pumps etc. is taken. Before this, the water level is checked with a rising meter, after which it is pumped. After this the students went to Think Next Technology Mohali, where Resource Person Munish Mittal gave practical training to the students on Digital Marketing, Web Designing, Web Development, PLC, SCADA Solution, CAD, CAM. Munish Mittal said that the modern era is the era of computers and digital technology, so we should move forward with it.
Through this, students have gained practical information. Students also asked questions related to their course. The students have gained a lot of technical knowledge from this visit. Jaftar Ahmed said that such tours will continue in future also. With this, students will be able to know closely about the behavior of executives in the company, their personality and working methods.
