District Education Officer Kamaldeep Kaur said that books are being distributed by making bundles in a very neat manner by the block employees. He said that now the schools are about to open after the summer vacation, so he ordered all the Block Primary Education Officers to ensure delivery of books to the students within two days from the block level. He said that from the first day after the vacation, feedback will also be taken by visiting the center school and schools. Giving information, he said that free books are given to the students of class 1 to 12. He said that according to the main demand, books have been received from the board office, now after the opening of the school, additional books will be requested from the Punjab Education Board as per the increased enrollment of students.
He said that so far 10 lakh 30 thousand books of all subjects have been delivered at the block level. Deputy District Education Officer Sukhwinder Singh said that many efforts are being made by the Education Department to raise the level of education. Due to this, free books are made available to the children studying in government schools, so that the children can study without any hindrance. He said that the admission campaign in the district is going on with great enthusiasm and teachers and other staff are going door to door to motivate parents to enroll their children in government schools.
He appealed that today our government schools are competing with high class private schools and all kinds of facilities are available in our government schools. So he appealed to the parents to enroll their children in government schools and get good and free education.
