In this regard, while presiding over the meeting of the district level task force at the district administration complex, Additional Deputy Commissioner Madam Kanchan said that to monitor the adverse effects on human health due to hot winds and environmental change from April to July. Departments to prepare action plan with mutual cooperation So that the effects of heat on the human body can be reduced. The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that it is important to protect not only humans, but also animals from loo in summer. For which the animal husbandry department should also prepare a plan to make the animal breeders aware of the measures to be taken to protect the animals from heat so that the plan can be implemented on time. He also instructed the Municipal Corporation, Agriculture Department, Water Supply Department, Rural Development and Panchayat Department to share information regarding the work done by the departments during the summer season. He also directed to provide drinking water at public places.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed to work according to the action plan to prevent the spread of dengue during the rainy season and said that during the previous years, the areas of Patiala district where more cases of dengue had occurred. Attention should be focused on those areas from now and along with fogging, awareness campaign should also be launched. He directed the education department to clean the water tanks of the schools from time to time. He instructed the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Councils to use medicine continuously to prevent the development of dengue larvae in stagnant water sources.
During the meeting, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jagpalinder Singh said that posters have also been made by the health department to make people aware of heat protection. District Epidemiologist Dr. Sumit Singh, DSP (H) Sukhdev Singh, DDPO Amandeep Kaur, all SMOs and EOs of the district including Animal Husbandry, Education, Agriculture Department were present in the meeting.
