PEC’s Bay Area Alumni, a group of 290 members, based in Silicon Valley, California, celebrated PEC's 102nd anniversary with their meet held in the Indian Cultural Center based in Milpitas, USA.
Chandigarh 3rd December 2023 - Prof. Baldev Setia, Director, PEC, joined them live from Chandigarh to address the USA Bay Area Alumni and their spouses. He talked about PEC’s rich history and shared his plans to take PEC’s ratings to new heights, with a specific focus on new faculty hiring and research seeking Alumni’s participation.

He talked about PEC’s rich history and shared his plans to take PEC’s ratings to new heights, with a specific focus on new faculty hiring and research seeking Alumni’s participation. Coordinator of the Event Dr. Naresh Sehgal, (alumnus '84) said that ''The audience was moved and very much impressed by Prof. Baldev Setia's address.'' He thanked Prof. Setia for joining them through video conferencing and had also invited him to join them in person for the upcoming year 2024's event. Mr. Kameshwar Gupta presented about PEC Educational Foundation which is a US Tax exempt organisation set up to support their Alma mater. Prof. Rajesh Kanda, Head Alumni Affairs also joined the meet online.
Afterwards a cultural program was held which was inclusive of various Indian originated songs and dances performed by Alumni and their spouses.
