If untreated, high blood pressure can be dangerous: Dr. Urvi Chavra

The aim was to create awareness about hypertension and promote preventive measures. The function was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Smita Johar, Principal and Director of DBACH Dr. Kulbhushan and Dr. Urvi Chawra, Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma delivered the keynote speech.

The aim was to create awareness about hypertension and promote preventive measures. The function was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Smita Johar, Principal and Director of DBACH Dr. Kulbhushan and Dr. Urvi Chawra, Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma delivered the keynote speech.
On this occasion, Dr. Urvi Chawra emphasized on the importance of awareness and prevention of hypertension disease. He said that hypertension, which is often called the "silent killer", can cause serious health problems if not treated properly. Dr. Chavra explained the importance of lifestyle changes, dietary changes and Ayurveda in effectively preventing and managing hypertension.
He further said that high blood pressure has no symptoms and if left untreated, it can be dangerous. Hypertension puts you at risk for stroke, heart attack and other problems. Most people with hypertension do not realize this. Therefore, testing is important. Understanding hypertension from a dietary Ayurvedic perspective and treating it according to the principles of Panchakarma can be very beneficial.
The event saw the active participation of faculty members from various departments and students of the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery program. On this occasion, Dr. Amandeep Sharma, Vice Principal; Dr. Nishant Paika; Dr. Prachi Sharma; Dr. Rajini Rani; and Dr. Sonali Gupta were eminently present.
