SAS Nagar, April 15 - National Gatka Association of India under the leadership of District Gatka Association Mohali under the leadership of State Awardee and Chairman International Affairs Directorate National Gatka Association of India Fulraj Singh with the support of Gurdwara Nanak Darbar of Sector 90 district level. Gatka Shastra went to show competition. Harjit Singh Grewal of National Gatka Association of India was also present on this occasion. On this occasion DSP Mohali Harsimrat Singh Bal, District Gatka Association Chairman Paramjit Singh Chauhan and President Kuldeep Singh Samana also attended and encouraged the players.

Mr. Phoolraj Singh said that Amar Shaheed Dhan Dhan Baba Deep Singh Ji International Gatka Akhara, Tyur, won the first place in the weapons show competitions. Missal Shaheedan Gatka Akhara, Sohana stood second while Misal Shaheedan Patshai 5th Guru Arjan Devji Gatka, Akhara Sunny Enclave Kharar stood third.

Apart from this, Ishpreet Singh won the first place, Inderjit Singh won the second place and Harsimran Singh got the third place in the individual competition. In the girls' individual competition, Taranpreet Kaur won first place, Jaidkirat Kaur won second place and Jashandeep Kaur won third place.

On this occasion, Jathedar Gurpreet Singh Khalsa, known as the Baba Bohar of Gatka, was highly honored by the National Gatka Association of India. Prizes were distributed to the winners jointly by Paramjit Singh Chauhan, Kuldeep Singh Samana and Harjit Singh Grewal President National Gatka Association of India.
