Patiala, November 18 - Harpal Singh, a farmer of village Nanhera in Samana constituency, committed suicide as he could not clear a debt of more than 10 lakhs. His body was found in the motor room in his fields. He shot himself with his licensed revolver. After the post-mortem, the police handed over the body to the heirs. Harpal Singh has two daughters and one son. He had taken a loan of more than 10 lakhs to send a daughter to study abroad, which he could not afford. His crops also failed twice.
